What more festive way to ring in the New Year than with live music, great food, and a champagne toast? At Wheelhouse, dinner reservations start at 4 PM. Dine on the restaurant’s regular dinner menu and special features from their chef. Live music entertainment from Funkle Jessebegins at 8 PM and goes through 12:30 with a champagne toast at midnight and raffle/giveaways. Make it an adult’s night out, or take the kids along! Why not join the circus-style celebration at Rockwell Republic this year? Guests can come early to dine, but the real party gets underway at 10PM. Guests 21+ over only will be welcome after 9 PM. Then, there will be tons of dancing, party swag and a champagne toast at midnight. General admission is $30.

New Year’s Eve tends to be an adult celebration. Why not do something for the kids this year? The Grand Rapids Children’s Museum has just the thing. From 6-8PM, bring the kids over so they can make their very own resolution wand and noise maker and dance and sing the evening away. Tickets are $12 for all guest over 1 year of age and $10 for museum members.

New Year’s Eve is a great time to laugh and forget your cares before all the stress of the coming year kicks in. Sound good? Then check out this year’s Comedy and Poetry Slam at the Grand Ballroom at the Masonic Center. The event will be hosted by James Brown and feature comedy by Hen Sapp and Dany Red and poetry by Azizi Jasper and guests. The doors open at 6 PM and the show starts promptly at 7. General admission is $20 ADV/$30 ATD and floor seats are $30 ADV/$40 ATD. 21+ admitted only!
