The Lion King, A Chorus Line… besides featuring unforgettable storylines that are now woven into the fabric of many of our lives, these productions also have timeless soundtracks that can be listened to time and time again.
This January, the people of Grand Rapids will have the opportunity to enjoy the Grand Rapids Symphony’s interpretation of some of these classics while being accompanied by some of Broadway’s biggest stars for Blockbuster Broadway. The event will take place at DeVos Place and DeVos Performance Hall on January 26, 27 and 28.
Scott Coulter will host the night and perform. Also singing will be Jessica Hendy, Kelli Rabke, and John Boswell. John Varineau will be conducting. The concert will feature show-stopping tunes from all your favorite musicals including The Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, Annie, Jersey Boys, The Sound of Music, Chicago, CATS, The Lion King and A Chorus Line.
The Grand Rapids Symphony was organized in 1930 and is nationally recognized for its high-quality concerts and educational programs. Seeing them perform with these much-acclaimed stars against the aesthetically and acoustically superb DeVos Performance Hall promises to be a treat for all that are lucky enough to purchase a ticket.
