Located in East Grand Rapids' Gaslight Village, Jersey Junction serves up 28 flavors of ice cream (including Moose Tracks, Cake Batter and Superman) in homemade waffle cones, as well as candy, toys and sandwiches in a fun and family-friendly atmosphere. The photos and decor on the walls recount the history of both East Grand Rapids and Ramona Park, a small amusement park that was situated on the banks of Reeds Lake from 1897 until 1955. A miniature electric train that continuously runs above the customers is rumored to be the inspiration for The Polar Express, written by East Grand Rapids native Chris Van Allsburg. Be prepared for long lines for ice cream on summer evenings.
