The weather is cooling down and the leaves are turning, which means two things: autumn is finally here and it’s time for my 6th Annual Chili Cook-Off! This event has become a tradition for me and it’s one I look forward to every year. The chilis are exceptional, and the company is top notch!
Join us on Saturday, November 9, at the Grand Rapids Firefighters Hall for chili with all the fixings, beer, dessert, and a healthy dose of competition. If you’ve attended before, you know how much fun it is. If you’ve never attended, I’d like to personally invite you to join us. Either way, make sure to get your tickets today so you can help choose this year’s chili champion while supporting my reelection to the state senate!
Individual tickets are $25 per person, or you can become a sponsor at one of our three sponsorship levels – Poblano level ($100), Jalapeño level ($250), and Habanero level ($500). Families are always welcome at this event – macaroni & cheese and soft drinks will be available for kids; the suggested contribution amount for a family is $75. 5:30 PM – Chili cooks arrive with their chilis
6:00 PM – Event start time
7:00 PM – Voting ends
7:15 PM – Winners are announced
