Mitch, founder & owner of Speciation Artisan Ales will be joining us this Tuesday to walk us through tasting different Speciation beers and one of their ciders. This will be a great night to learn about the brewery and the stories behind each beer.
About Speciation Artisan Ales
Speciation Artisan Ales is founded by husband & wife team, Mitch and Whitney Ermatinger. Speciation is a mixed-culture fermentation brewery specializing in wild ales that have been bottle conditioned and keg conditioned. We intend to provide high-quality sour beer, farmhouse ales, and spontaneously fermented beers to West Michigan.
Mitch formerly brewed at Denver-based microbrewery Former Future Brewing Company and has had the privilege to develop his knowledge about wild fermentation working under James Howat at Black Project Spontaneous and Wild Ales. Former Future/Black Project won bronze medals at the GABF for wild beer in 2014 and 2015, and their beer Jumpseat was rated as world class by BeerAdvocate Magazine.
