The community is welcoming fall in a big way and nowhere is it more evident than it is at Frederik Meijer Gardens. The famous community garden is ringing in the season with its annual fall horticulture exhibition, Chrysanthemums and More! which will be open to the public on Sept. 21. Find out more about what you can expect when you visit the gardens this fall.
The focus of the fall exhibit will be ‘Growing Local’. The exhibit will highlight local growers and farmers, and the food and drink that are products of their efforts. Because chrysanthemums are in abundance in the area in the fall months, those who visit will be able to feast their eyes on a variety of chrysanthemums which vary in size and color. Guests will also be able to decorate the corridors of the buildings as well as the gardens themselves.
A number of activities will also be offered as part of the fall festivities. These include the Fall Bonsai Show, Giant Pumpkins, Fall Family Day, Mum Day and more. Dinner specials will be served at The Balk Café and for those with little ones, the Children’s Garden will be a hotspot of activity.

The fall exhibit will only be running until October 28 so be sure to mark your calendars so you don’t miss your chance to join in on the fun activities and ring in autumn right!
