Metro Grand Rapids is the brainchild of owner and musician Joshua Tree. Tree recognized the struggles of local artists and decided to create a venue where local musicians and artists can perform and display their art work. “We wanted to create a space of inclusion and diversity of art and music to bring people together”, says Tree. The hope is that the venue fills a void in the local art scene and revolutionizes the music industry in the Grand Rapids area. Guests can look forward to “every kind of music – ranges the spectrum” at Metro Grand Rapids.

The venue will feature a full bar with 20 beers on tap. Their food selection features a small boutique menu with wings, pizza and munchies. There will also be an outdoor patio where artwork will be displayed and musicians can perform.

The grand opening party is open to the public and admission is free before 9 PM. There will be a ribbon cutting followed by performances by DJ Dadmode, DJ Tony Banks, DJ Uno and K-Alexi.

In reference to the venue, Tree says, “We are bridging a gap in our local music scene. Our goal at Metro is to provide opportunities for our local talent and become a springboard for success for our budding artists.” They are also working with the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to ensure community connection and representation. We wish Metro Grand Rapids best of luck on their admirable and unique mission to bring the community together.
