One Twenty Three Tavern is quickly becoming one of the newest hotspots in Grand Rapids! This modern American dining recently opened at Studio Park on October 14th. Read on to learn more about the restaurant and what they have in store for later this year.

One Twenty Three Tavern describes their vibe and menu as familiar yet elevated. They offer modern takes on old favorites, a variety of drinks and cocktails and a cozy atmosphere. The tavern is a great place to gather with family, have a business meeting or meet up with friends for drinks and eats.

“We want to test the [culinary] waters while building trust,” Executive Chef Ben Kaja explained. “It’s all about the heart of food and learning what culinary journey our customers want.”

The restaurant sits on a 3500 square foot space at Studio Park. It is the flagship restaurant of the development which includes a movie theater, restaurants, concert venue and more.

The menu features a variety of items including starters, small plates, burgers and entrees with specialities being the 123 burger, fried chicken sandwich, crab cakes, specialty meatloaf, and more. There’s also a fine selection of desserts, cocktails, wine and local beer. They are also family friendly with a kid’s menu available. 

One Twenty Three Tavern provides an exceptional dining experience. A communal Chef’s Table is available for larger parties by reservation only. Those who reserve the Chef’s Table can enjoy an adventurous and interactive dining experience – offering “whole roasted fish, lamb, and more”. The restaurant is also connected to the piazza at Studio Park which offers outdoor dining options. 

If you have plans to attend the Grand Rapids Wine, Beer & Food Festival, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the restaurant. They will have a table set up at the festival where you can taste the intimate pairings they have to offer. The festival will be running from November 21-23 and it has been named one of the “Best Fall Wine Festivals in America” by Forbes magazine
