West Michigan is expanding at a rapid pace. In response, the area is continuing to prepare for increased tourism with new accommodations. The latest development is Hotel Rose – a boutique hotel scheduled to open in the Rockford area.
Development of the hotel is currently in the early stages. Orion Real Estate Solutions has signed a letter of intent to build the hotel on the property located at 12 S. Main St. Once completed, it is set to be a 54-room, three-story building with suites on the second and third floor. The boutique hotel will also include an indoor pool, fitness center, lobby bar and restaurant on the first floor.
Hotel Rose will feature a unique design that will add character to Downtown Rockford. The location with bring small town charm to the upscale pedestrian streetscape, while incorporating the contextual details of its neighboring structures.
The project is expected to commence in 2020 with Ghafari Associates Inc./Concept Design named as the architect and Orion Construction Co. Inc. as the general contractor. It is projected to be completed in 2021 with Amway Corp owned AHC+Hospitality taking over hotel management duties. Hotel Rose is estimated to provide 80 jobs in the hospitality, management and restaurant industries.
West Michigan is continuing to grow and Rockford is meeting its demands with this stylish new hotel. We look forward to finding out how it serves locals and visitors once it is open for business.
