GRNow Weekend Guide November 4-6, 2011 E-mail
The first weekend in November offers plenty of concert options including the Indigo Girls, Never Shout Never, Disney in Concert and Panic! at the Disco.

Friday (11/04)

Restaurant Week - After a popular debut last year, Restaurant Week returns November 3-13 with more than 70 participating restaurants from all around the area like Bar Divani, Electric Cheetah and Blythefield Country Club. Each eatery will offer either a 3-course meal for $25 per person or a 2 for $25 menu.

3 Doors Down - The "Kryptonite" band visits The DeltaPlex with special guests Theory of a Deadman and Grand Rapids' own Pop Evil. Tickets are $29.50 to $45.

Disney in Concert - The Grand Rapids Symphony presents the multi-media experience for the whole family featuring the music of Disney. Movie clips and artwork are projected on the big screen as the instruments and vocalists bring classics from 'Alladin', 'Beauty and the Beast', 'The Lion King' and more to life. Tickets start at $18.

Beneath the Wreath - Get a start on your holiday shopping at the 27th Annual Beneath the Wreath at DeVos Place. Thousands of shoppers are expected to browse gifts, crafts and more presented by vendors from around the country. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Proceeds benefit local charities like St. John's Home.

Rotary Antique Show - Check out vintage antiques, collectibles and more Friday through Sunday at The DeltaPlex. Admission is $10.

Never Shout Never - The Orbit Room hosts the rockers along with A Rocket To The Moon, Fake Problems, and Carter Hulsey. Tickets are $20 in advance, $24 at the door.

Saturday (11/05)

Officer Slot Memorial Ride - A memorial ride will be held this Saturday to benefit Officer Trevor Slot's wife and family. Stops along the way include the Walker Police Department and Kosciuoszko Hall, and t-shirts, a raffle, 50/50 drawing and more are planned.

Recycled Art Market - Find a unique, handmade gift created by artisans who work with at least 50% recycled, upcycled or re-purposed materials at City High/Middle School on Fuller Ave. Admission is $1.

Grand Rapids Griffins - See the Griffins take on the Charlotte Checkers at Van Andel Arena Friday night. The first 5,000 fans will receive a free 2012 team calendar and members of the Griffins team will be on hand to sign autographs after the game.

Panic! at the Disco - The Vegas band who has met significant Billboard success in the last five years, visits The Intersection to support their newest album, 'Vices & Virtues'. Special guest Foxy Shazam opens. Tickets: $25.

Sunday (11/06)

Indigo Girls - The duo returns to Grand Rapids to perform their newest release 'Beauty Queen Sister' at The Orbit Room. Tickets are $28 at the door.
