Art. Downtown. and SiTE:LAB return this weekend, plus beat the spring showers inside at the Ballet, the Symphony or the West Michigan Pet Expo.

Friday (04/12)

Art.Downtown. - On Friday evening from 6-11 p.m., see the work of more than 400 local artists installed at 30 different galleries, studios and retail space primarily along South Division between Fulton and Cherry. Admission is free and three trolleys will run throughout the evening.

SiTE:LAB - As part of Art.Downtown., SiTE:LAB returns to the Old Public Museum on Jefferson with a collaborative gallery exhibit entitled 'Workflow". Parts of the museum will be converted into an old-fashioned letterpress workshop, plus the event will also feature performances, demos and an art battle. Free.

Henry Rollins - The musician and writer visits The Orbit Room for a spoken-word performance entitled "The Long March". Tickets are $22.50 in advance and $27 on the day of show.

Grand Rapids Griffins - The Griffins have just three regular-season games left, including Friday night's contest against the Milwaukee Admirals. The dollar beer, dollar dogs special continues and college students can receive a discount on seats with an ID.

Bolero - Guest conductor Carlos Miguel Prieto leads the Grand Rapids Symphony in the program that will feature flamboyant works that reflect the Latin spirit. Tickets start at $18.

MOVEMEDIA - Choreographed dances are merged with visual elements of sets, props, costumes and lighting, that are framed by technology and digital media for the Grand Rapids Ballet Company's newest performances at the Wege Theatre. Individual tickets are $25.

Saturday (04/13)

Gazelle Girl Half Marathon - Gazelle Sports presents the all-new half marathon and 5K that celebrates the 40th anniversary of Title IX while raising money for the YWCA, Kent County Girls on the Run, and Grand Rapids Opportunities for Women (GROW). Race gets underway at Rosa Parks Circle.

Clutch - The rockers take the stage with Orange Goblin, Lionize and Scorpion Child for a now sold-out show at The Orbit Room.

West Michigan Pet Expo - At the family-friendly annual event at The DeltaPlex, visit Adopt-a-pet areas, a reptile and amphibian exhibit, and the petting zoo, or ride a pony. Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for kids.

Jake's Music Festival - The ninth annual local music concert at The Wealthy Theatre supports the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation with seven band performances and a silent auction. Free admission.

West Michigan Mom's Sale - Browse more than 200 booths at DeVos Place featuring gently used children's clothes, toys, strollers, furniture and more. General admission is free with financial donation opportunities.

David Sedaris - The best-selling humor writer returns to West Michigan to take the stage at DeVos Performance Hall and give his satirical take on the human condition. Tickets: $32.50-$55.
