Overpriced bad service
Reviewed by Holly, 2009-10-23 19:42:49 I had the steak dinner. My husband got the wet burrito and my son got the macaroni and cheese meal. We ate there on 10-21-09. The service was poor. My husband's burrito was much smaller than he's gotten before, although this is the first time we've ever ate at the Rockford location, was have ate at all other locations. I paid extra to get a salad which was pretty bland, lettuce and croutons, the steak wasn't the best the roll was dry. The kids meal came to 5.00 not worth it at all for mac and cheese. We will never eat here again. For the amt we paid I feel we could've eaten at the Outback and got better service and higher quality of food.

No-frills dining.
Reviewed by , 2008-03-20 00:44:59 Don't expect a 5 diamond experience when you roll into Sam's Joint. It's has a tacky decor, kind of reminds me of how you would decorate a deer camp in Northern Michigan. Guns and deer heads on the wall, tacky carpet. Anyways, food is always pretty good. I go there for their Ribs, which have a good reputation. March and I believe November are their "roll back" months. Full rack of ribs is $10.95 with fries and coleslaw. Sizzlers are about $5.50, Burrito is $5.00, just cheap and good food. Place is busy though, and it's loud. Servers are flying everywhere in between table. Not a place to wow a first date. They even serve your drinks in disposable plastic cups. Like I said, no frills, but definately worth a try if you like ribs*
* They have a lot more then just ribs, I'm just a rib junkie.
