I love Osta's

Otsa's is the best restaurant in Grand Rapids. I can say that with complete certainty.
The owner, John, makes everything from scratch including the dressings, garlic sauce, tahini, and all the appetizers. Everything is very flavorful, and well prepared.
All of the meat is fresh, and seasoned or marinated. He takes much care in making sure he has excellent cuts of lamb, beef, and chicken.
It's fresh, extremely healthy, and delicious. If you're uncertain about Mediterranean dining, don't go anywhere else because you'll have the best experience at Osta's. And if you think it's maybe a little strange, well, you're wrong. It's simple stuff! So, go out and have some, you won't be disappointed.
If you're concerned about the price- you get what you pay for. The amount of time, preparation, and care put into the meals makes $13 very reasonable. Besides, it's only $5 for a sandwich!! That's awesome!!! If you want cheap and greasy, there is always fast food.

Four of us visited Osta's last night, and we all loved it. It's a small restaurant, and the service is excellent. We couldn't decide at first, so we had the appetizer sampler. We got a very generous variety of tabouli, hummus, and other items. The flat bread for dipping had a wonderful flavor. A bottle of Lebanese wine was an excellent accompaniment. Are our entrees we spicey and very tasty.

One of the best restaurants on the Southeast Side

I have two favorites for lebanese and middle eastern, and this one is second. The atmosphere is usually very quite and intimate having only a few tables. The service is usually not too bad considering there are only 1-2 servers at any given time. The lamb shwarma is simply the best in the city. The salads are top notch also, as is the baklava. The only reason why it's not number one is the price. $12 for the mixed grill at dinner is just a little too high.

Good, but not great

The food was good, but for the price, I wasn't THAT impressed. It was good, I'll eat there again, but I'll continue to look for West Michigan's answer to La Shish.
