| Pita House |
The original Pita House is a staple of the Eastown neighborhood and one of its most popular and best-known restaurants. On the menu select from a wide variety of gyro sandwiches, including the Black and White, a blend of beef, chicken and lamb. Customers can create their own sandwich by choosing from over a dozen different toppings and condiments like hummus, chick peas or cucumber sauce. The specialty platters include two skewers of lamb, chicken or kafta kabobs and are served with rice, fatoush salad, and hummus or babaghanooj. The Eastown location also has a small grocery store stocked with products from around the Middle East.
Hours: Monday - Wednesday 10:30 AM- 9:00 PM; Thursday- Saturday 10:30 AM- 2:00 AM; Sunday 11:00 AM- 7:00 PM

EAT AT SAMI'S OH SO FABULOUS
Reviewed by smwicfh, 2006-06-18 00:08:03 What a diverse and friendly family owned business! Fresh good tasting food prepared to your satisfaction (you get to choose whatever you want on sandwiches and combination platters) At least try everthing on the menu you will be so happy. Also many smiling faces, unique grocery items, and the best hookah products in town- it's like the perfect place for all of your Middle Eastern needs! Also the Shatara's are a fabulous family to get to know.

This is the Best
Reviewed by dbrok23, 2005-11-14 00:00:00 This is the best Middle eastern in Grand Rapids. The service is extremely fast, the ingredients fresh and the sauces, like the cucumber are simply excellent. The price is also amazing, at least for the sandwiches. I've noticed the price of the dinners climbing to $10, which is the only downside of Sami's. They have indoor and outdoor seating, plus a grocery store and it is right in the center of Eastown.

Best pitas in town!
Reviewed by samgr, 2005-01-25 00:00:00 There is not one item on their menu that I wouldn't try, everything is delicious. If you like trying new things, this is the place. They offer dinner platters with food from all over, including Greece, Lebonon, India...
Also, you get a large amount of food for a resonable price. The hummus and pita bread is great, but my favorite "Usual" there is the Lentil soup. It hits the spot every time.
