I've been here twice now...
Reviewed by Tricia, 2010-06-29 13:24:19 And the food seems to get better and better upon every visit. It is blatantly obvious that the ingredients are fresh and the knowledge behind the flavor combinations is spot-on. I love the eclectic-bistro vibe that the restaurant emits, and the service has never left me wanting. Real people, reasonable prices, and really good food. I'm always eager to see what its chef comes up with next.

Real People, Real Food
Reviewed by CrossEyed, 2009-09-04 12:50:49 When you walk into the Cheetah, a little voice inside your head whispers, "Relax, you're in for a treat". I've patronized this place since it opened in May, and I have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is casual -- a true bistro feeling with simple decorations and table settings. The waitstaff is knowledgeable and friendly, and obviously proud of their place. The open kitchen is amazing to watch from a set of counter seats up front.
But the food -- oh my God. Soups and sandwiches to die for. My favorite is a simple red cabbage soup, along with a Reuben sandwich. There's also a great turkey sandwich with thin slices of green apple tucked inside. A small plate menu is very inviting -- get the raw fries, and a green menu that includes a tasty Thai salad.
Entrees include a core of meals and daily specials based on available local foods. You can count on a perch fish-fry every Friday that's loaded with sides. And the deserts -- home-made pies, cakes and imaginative tasties.
There's also a great Sunday brunch with meals that are meant to be ordered and shared with the table.
The Cheetah has quickly become my favorite restaurant in GR. Check it out.

Its been a while since we tried a new restaurant and received both excelent food and great service. You have succeeded on both levels! The price is right and the ambiance is perfect. We will definitely be back soon.

Definitely worth a visit
Reviewed by Staci, 2009-05-27 18:26:28 I’d been looking forward to this new bistro for a while and was well pleased with the service and food that I received. I went with a friend, and we lunched tapas style. We ordered the chicken salad and a stuffed mushroom salad on special. They were both very good in terms of taste and value. We also ordered the sweet potatoes fries, but they were a little burned and a little pricy – less than 10 fries for $4! I’m sure I will go back again to sample more of the goodness they have to offer, but I certainly won’t be getting any fries.

Food is AWESOME
Reviewed by Jennifer Kossack, 2009-05-18 04:06:18 To those who enjoy REAL food:
The food here is great. If you want taco bell, go to taco bell. It'll do wonders to your bowels.
However, this place supports alot of local farms and local businesses and the food is excellent. I've been there 4 times since it opened. AWESOME soup, awesome salad, and great sammiches...I've had the grilled cheese, portobello, and rueben. They have some of the friendliest staff there, similar to Marie Catribs. The sweet potato fries are awesome. I will probably have dreams about them tonight and wake up in a gallon of drool.
If you are a vegetarian, you can still get meatless food...and from what I hear they are extending their menu May 20. If you have suggestions, the workers there, and Corey (owner), want to hear about it. Every time I went in there so far, they asked me what I thought and even invited suggestions. How many places do that? Corey seems pretty cool to me. In fact, when he has been there he has made effort to talk to almost every customer there. I think the place is awesome honestly in many ways. It's in my top 3. But thats coming from a chic who wont touch fast food. So if thats what you are looking for...you are in the wrong area, yo.

A Soup to Remember
Reviewed by Karen Lisma, 2009-03-03 01:11:35 It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. I was at The Sparrows after several days of feeling sad after a longtime break up when I came across this North African Carrot and Ginger Bisque from The Electric Cheetah. I have to say that it had been several days since I had not given my break-up a thought, but for a few nice minutes, all I could think about was how wonderful this soup was. Thanks :) I can not wait until you open.
