As the weather begins to get colder, we start thinking about all the ghouls and goblins that will be coming out on Halloween. This is the perfect time of the year to start watching spooky movies like Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. But why just rent the movie at home when you can experience it in a way you never have before? This year, why not come down to DeVos Performance Hall on October 20 to see the film with the musical score performed live by the Grand Rapids Pops?

For those who are unfamiliar with the Nightmare Before Christmas plot, the Tim Burton movie revolves around protagonist Jack Skellington of Halloween Town. Skellington becomes bored of the Halloween routine and, in seeking out a new adventure, stumbles upon Christmastown. There, he becomes inspired to take over Christmas.
