Bar Divani - The Ionia Ave wine bar will have two seatings on Valentine's Day: 5:30-6 p.m. & 8:30-9 p.m. The four-course pre-fixe menu includes a glass of pink sparkling wine to start the evening. Pricing is $49-$54 per person.

Bar Divani - Experience something different for Valentine's Day at Bar Divani's event space: "Artful Dining - Kissing with Klimt". The experience will immerse you into the life and works of this great artist best known for "The Kiss" by serving wines and appetizers from his regions and travelogue, along with providing hands-on art stations.

Bistro Bella Vita - Currently accepting online reservations for February 7-16.

Boatwerks - The restaurant on Lake Macatawa in Holland will offer a special Valentine's menu featuring prime rib, lobster, ahi tuna and chocolate fondue. Reservations accepted.

Derby Station - For the first time, the East Grand Rapids eatery will be hosting a Valentine's Dinner meant specifically for lovers. The three-course menu features items like Moroccan crab cakes, stuff sirloin and the Tower of Chocolate.

LB's Lounge/Louis Benton - Enjoy the soulful sounds of Yolonda Lavender at Love in the Lounge inside Louis Benton Steakhouse. Admission is $10/person or $15/couple and includes two drink tickets.

The Melting Pot - The fondue restaurant located next to Celebration Cinema North will have a special 4-course menu, plus tables can be pre-set with rose petals, a bottle of champagne or chocolate-dipped strawberries.

One Trick Pony - The grill and taproom on East Fulton will have live music by MacRaven, a recently unveiled new menu and $1 from every dessert sold will be donated to Susan G Komen in celebration of Experience Pink.

Reserve Wine Bar - The Valentine's Day menu is priced at $35 per person and offers course choices like potato soup, grilled beef heart, duck, trout and chocolate cake.

Restaurant Toulouse - From February 14-17, the French bistro in downtown Saugatuck will have a special four-course menu with tiger shrimp, filet mignon and a double chocolate crème brulee, along with other options. $45 per person or $80 per couple.

San Chez's Dinner in the Dark - Excite your senses while enjoying tapas and alcoholic beverages at San Chez Bistro -- all while blindfolded. Tickets are $65 per person.

Sietsema Orchards - Billed as "A Valentine's Celebration dinner in lieu of over-crowded, over-expensive restaurants", the seven-course dinner hosted by Saburba on Feb. 13 will feature oysters, stuffed figs, bone marrow, truffles and more. $65/person; limited to 40 guests.

Sundance Steakhouse - The eatery located at the Double JJ Resort will offer a full dinner menu, plus specials like surf & turf, red velvet cake and the Sinfully Chocolatey Chocolate Cake.

Terrace Grille - Bay Pointe Inn's restaurant will have a special menu featuring stuffed salmon and prime rib, along with live music from vocalist Tom Northrup.


Parties/Nightlife

The Red Party - Back for a fourth year at Cygnus 27 atop the Amway Grand, the party and fundraiser will feature drinks from Valentine Vodka and live rockabilly music with Delilah Dewylde. No cover charge; ages 21+ welcome.

Red Hot Crush - Nicole Hughet from 104.5 WSNX hosts the party at Crush at The B.O.B. starting at 9 p.m. Ladies 18+ and guys 21+ welcome.

Vodka for Your Valentine - In addition to the special Vodka Valentine's Menu, ladies can have complimentary hair styling done at Monte's by Cheeky Strut. Free cuts and colors will be given away throughout the night.

Sweet & Bubbly - Circle Theatre's annual fundraiser at Centennial Country Club will have cocktails, a plated dinner, champagne and chocolate tasting, prize drawings, and live entertainment from Circle Performers.

Celebrating Singles - Singles, lovers and heartbreakers can join Bar Louie at Woodland Mall for the V-Day party that will have $5 It's Not Me, It's You shots.

Love Is In the Air - A ballroom and steppin' event on the 3rd floor of McFadden's to benefit Kids Food Basket. $3 donation/cover; ages 21+ welcome.

The B.O.B. - The Big Old Building will have specials, live music and more for Valentine's.


Date Ideas

Chocolate, Art, & Music - The third annual event February 9 at the Lemon Creek Winery tasting room in Grand Haven will feature wine & chocolate pairings with goodies from Patricia's Chocolate.

Love Wine & Chocolate - Indulge in the chocolate fountain while sampling wines at Robinette's Feb 9. The $10 per couple price includes souvenir wine glasses.

Love Wine & Chocolate - A separate event from Robinette's, this Valentine's Day-themed party at Jack's on the Waterfront in Spring Lake will have live entertainment, hors d'oeuvres, a wine tasting provided by local wine vendors and a silent auction in the effort to raise funds for The Center for Women in Transition. Tickets: $30 in advance.

Hands-on Cooking Class - At the Family Fare-Spartan Culinary Classroom in Grandville, couples have the opportunity to work together to prepare recipes and enjoy dining by candlelight. Cost for the cooking class and wine tasting is $100 per couple.

Snowshoe with your Sweetie - Take a romantic candle-lit hike through the snowy woods of Blandford Nature Center and warm up a with a campfire and hot chocolate after. $10-$12.

Poetic Comedy - Enjoy an evening of live poetry, comedy, music and a catered soul food dinner for two at The Intersection hosted by Azizi Jasper and comedian Dave Jones. $25 per couple.

Valentine's Day Wine - At Art of The Table, sample red wines for free on your way to dinner from 5-7 p.m.

Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides - Trot through downtown Grand Rapids on a white horse-drawn carriage decorated with red flowers and heart lights. Reservations can be made in advance.

Ice Skating at Rosa Parks Circle - The rink located at Monroe and Monroe Center will have open skate from noon until 9:30 p.m. on Valentine's Day. Admission is $1 and skate rental is free.

Caribe Bohemio - The Caribbean Coalition for the Arts & Culture West Michigan hosts the Valentine's Day extravaganza with live music at La Hacienda Banquet Hall in Wyoming.

Square Dancing - Bring that special Valentine to Fountain Street Church February 14 for a night of old time country dancing with Hawks and Owls and Banjo Jim. Geared toward the whole family.

Cooking with Your Valentine - At Kissing Rock Kitchens in Lowell, learn how to make Italian antipasti, osso bucco and desserts while enjoying complimentary chocolate-dipped strawberries. Cost is $50.

Bay Pointe Inn - Get hitched this Valentine's Day at the 'Be My Forever Valentine Wedding Ceremony' at the resort on Gun Lake. For $199 the venue will provide the cozy setting and officiant; just bring yourselves, two witnesses and your marriage license.

JW Marriott - The Love package at the JW includes an overnight stay, complimentary bottle of wine, gourmet cheese and cracker display, chocolate-covered strawberries, breakfast for two, late checkout and complementary valet parking. Rates start at $279.
