Just off East Fulton sits Grand Rapids' oldest continuously running restaurant and bar, in operation since 1927. The downtown landmark is famous for its burgers, cottage fries and three types of chili all served in a cozy atmosphere set by the dark paneling on the walls and an original Art Deco mahogany bar. Salads, Mexican entrees, sandwiches and fish are also on the menu. Every September the restaurant hosts a chili cook-off out front on La Grave Street.
