We promise the weather will be better than last year…or at least we hope it is!
Join us again this year as we will be celebrating the start of the Christmas season. Father Christmas will be riding into the Village on a horse drawn carriage to commence the lighting of the Village Christmas tree (in the dirt parking lot across the road from the Grist Mill). The lighting will be followed by caroling from the Rockford High School Choral Band and afterwards, you’re invited to join us at the Honey Creek Inn for cookies, hot chocolate and cider.
We encourage everyone to show up around 6 pm or a little after since parking can be tough to find once people start to arrive. The celebration (Father Christmas riding in) starts around 6:30 pm.
For parking: We would like people to restrain from parking on Joyce St. as it makes it tough for the horse and carriage. Feel free to use all of the Village parking lots, Cannonsburg Elementary’s parking lot, and the roads (Sturgis & Elm) leading up to Cannonsburg Elementary.
If you would like to donate cookies or holiday treats, please drop them off the morning or afternoon of the celebration. For any question, please contact Don or Aaron at 616.874.7849.
