DC & Company announces the launch of
“BAM TALENT”: An Arts Education Initiative
BAM (or Black Art Matters) TALENT is the first Teen-Organized Theatrical Production Company in Grand Rapids, MI created as a vehicle to educate and inspire disadvantaged & underrepresented youth to pursuit careers in the Arts by learning how to create within its boundaries.
We are looking for promising Students of Color who are interested in learning what Theatre is & utilizing the art to tell their own stories.
BAM Talent will be accepting video submissions in lieu of holding live auditions. If you child would still like to participate in the BAM Talent Youth Performance Initiative, please have them prepare a 1-min monologue & record it using a cell phone or other recording device. Due to this change, we will also be extending the submission due date to Thursday, January 31st at 5pm.
Please send all filmed monologues (or a link to it) to BAMTalentGR@gmail.com and we’ll will notify you & your child of our final determination by Sunday, February 3rd.
