Our neighborhood connectors, City of Grand Rapids Parks and Recreation Department and Design and Development Planning Department invite you to help us celebrate the completion of Phase 2 of the Martin Luther King Park Neighborhood Quality of Life Study. The evening will feature displays about the community engagement process, report outs by Quality of Life Study committee members, resource tables AND cake and refreshments.
The resource tables will include representatives from ArtPrize, our City of Grand Rapids Office of Diversity and Inclusion, Risk Management Office, Parks and Recreation Department and Planning Department, Grand Rapids Urban League, Friends of Grand Rapids Parks, Grand Rapids Public Schools, Linc Up and MLK Neighborhood Association. ArtPrize will offer an art project for youth and the Planning Department will provide information about the City’s recently adopted medical marijuana ordinance and what it means for residents.
Residents of the MLK Park neighborhood have been working on a study to understand quality of life in the neighborhood. They have developed actionable steps to improve residence experience. We hope you can join us for an evening of celebration, joy and community.
