SOLD OUT – Sat Studio Session: Weaving with Reclaimed Materials

Saturday, October 9, 2021 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

$35, 20% off for GRAM Members

Join GRAM Studio for unique and creative artmaking sessions influenced by a range of art practices. During the session, you’ll be guided through concept and material exploration. Through hands-on projects and gallery tours, participants will develop a deeper understanding of art and personal expression.

Try your hand at weaving with fiber! From the seasoned weaver to absolute beginner, this workshop is for everyone. Gain inspiration from the woven works on view in the galleries in ‘An Interwoven Legacy: The Black Ash Basketry Kelly Church and Cherish Parrish.’ Working on individual looms, learn the basics of hand weaving using a variety of colorful fibers and unexpected, reclaimed materials to create unique patterns and texture.

Please note: programming at GRAM is running with enhanced safety measures, including face covering requirements regardless of vaccination status, regular sanitization and cleaning, and restricting the sharing of tools/materials among participants. Masks will be available for those who do not have one.

For more information, please contact GRAM Studio at gramstudio@artmuseumgr.org or 616.831.2927.
