One of this year’s most exciting additions will be the comic book art event which will be taking place at Rosa Parks Circle. This will give guests the opportunity to check out comic book art which will be showcased front and center at the festival. Access to the art will be available on June 1 and 2 from 5-9 PM.

Other additions include a full performance lineup for the weekend as well as new food booth offerings which will be available for guests. The performance lineup features a diverse variety of musical performances while new menu options include spicy Korean nachos, and extra large pickle, elephant ears, turkey legs and more.

These new festival features will be incorporated into the already exciting activities of the event including annual art exhibits and creative activities for children.
The Festival of the Arts is free for the public and offers opportunities for guests to purchase art from local artists. This worthwhile event began in 1969 when Alexander Calder’s La Grande Vitesse was installed at City Hall. Since then, the event continues to support artists in the community. Come down to encourage the spirit of creativity that thrives in Grand Rapids.
