GRAAHI/URBAN CORE COLLECTIVE RHYTHM RUN

Be ready to “Run As One” in the heat of August with GRAAHI and the Urban Core Collective as we celebrate health and fitness in the Grand Rapids African American Community. GRAAHI’s 5k Rhythm Run will focus on healthy living, getting fit and enjoying the Michigan summer heat with the overall goal of raising awareness of the benefits of making the right healthy choices for YOU! Join us and make 2017 your year to be happy and get healthy. The 2017 Rhythm Run/Walk and Health Fair, offers family fun and health inspired activities including a Kid’s Fun Run, 5k walk/run, health fair, light refreshments and a variety of fun kid activities.

6TH ANNUAL GRANDJAZZFEST PRESENTED BY DTE ENERGY FOUNDATION

Time: 12pm-8pm | Where: Rosa Parks Circle

GRandJazzFest is a free two-day event bringing together notable jazz performers and highlighting up-and-coming artists for diverse audiences. The 6th annual GRandJazzFest will be at Rosa Parks Circle in downtown Grand Rapids, Mich., on Aug. 19 & 20, 2017.

TRIBUTE ON THE GRAND

Time: 2pm-10pm | Where: Ah-Nab-Awen-Park

Founders Brewing Co. has once again partnered with FOX17 to bring you Tribute on the Grand, a fundraising event to benefit Grand Rapids Whitewater, on August 19, 2017, at Ah-Nab-Awen-Park in downtown Grand Rapids.

This event is free to the public and all ages are welcome. Chairs or blankets to sit on in the park are suggested.

2-3pm: free yoga hosted by AM Yoga
2-3pm: family-friendly activities hosted by the Downtown Market Grand Rapids
2-10pm: food trucks and beer tent open and serving
4-10pm: live music from: Saved by the 90s, Bromoans (Ramones Tribute), Sweet Diezel Jenkins and Hotel California along with returning local act, Brother Wolf and the Wolfpack from Mars.
