Grand Rapids Public Schools to Host the School Choice Expo and Fall Family Harvest

When choosing a school for your child there are many factors to consider and it isn’t a decision that should be taken lightly. Luckily, Grand Rapids Public Schools will be hosting the School Choice Expo and Family Harvest Festival which will help parents find the school that is right for their child. This event will be taking place on Thursday, October 18 from 4-6 PM at the Gerald R. Ford Academic Center. Find out what you can expect by attending.

Grand Rapids Public Schools offers a wide choice of schools throughout the West Michigan area. Parents have the option to choose from Theme Schools and Centers of Innovation with a variety of curriculum and subject specialties. Those that attend the expo will have the chance to speak to staff members and learn more about what each school has to offer.

And while the parents are busy learning about their options, their children will be entertained as well. Activities include face painting, a bounce house, and fall-themed games with prizes for winners; free dinner will be provided as well. 

With applications to schools due on January 31, 2019, the deadline is coming up sooner than you think! Be sure to attend this event to be prepared to make the right choice for your child and file the required paperwork with plenty of time to spare. We look forward to seeing you there.
