Grand Rapids Running Season

Grand Rapids Running Season

Grand Rapids is a lean, mean, running machine. Be it on the streets, the trails, or along the water, we love to hit the ground running– especially when the weather is nice. If you love to run and support others by doing so, lace up your shoes because event season is in full swing! Take a look at some upcoming running events:

  • Saturday, March 18th: 34th Annual Spectrum Health Irish Jig
    • Takes place on a USA Track & Field certified course. Starts by East Grand Rapids high school, located by Reeds Lake: mostly flat with some gentle hills.
    • All ages welcome
    • Registration Adult $30, Youth (12 and younger) $20
    • Another way to celebrate St. Patrick’s day is to run one of Michigan’s premier 5K races. This year features wheelchair and hand-cycle participants as well as a costume contest, so it’s best to dress to impress. Spectrum Health promotes this event for colorectal cancer awareness.
