GRnow was invited to attend an awesome event today (January 20) at Hudsonville Ice Cream in Holland.
As part of the Detroit Tigers “Winter Caravan” tour, a group of Tigers players, executives and coaches – including Alan Trammell, Dan Dickerson, Michael Fulmer, James McCann, Jordan Zimmerman, and others – took a tour of the facility (including a visit to the storage room, kept at minus 20 degrees Fahrenheit!) and were able to enjoy an ice cream breakfast! This private event (for corporate sponsors, employees and families) had DJ AB to fire up the crowd, a “slow motion” photo booth with props, lots of samples, Cornhole games, and plenty of coffee. After the players toured the plant, they were introduced by Tigers’ radio personality Dan Dickerson. DJ AB then posed some questions to the players and coaches; they were asked to write down their replies to questions such as, “Who was your baseball hero?”, “Which player on the team is the party animal?”, “Which player has the most junk in his trunk?”.
There were some good laughs shared! There were also several prizes which were raffled off to the crowd. The Tigers were sent off with a warm round of applause and many wishes of good luck for the upcoming season.
Spring Training is right around the corner!
