Ladies Get Coffee
Date: August 16th | Time: 7:30am-9am | Facebook | More info
We can’t think of a better way to start the day than drinking coffee, eating waffles, and connecting with other ladies kicking ass at work. Come join our meet-up at the new MadCap on Fulton and tell your girlfriends. The more the merrier. Can men attend? Sorry, not at this event. We do welcome cis women, trans women, and non-binary/gender nonconforming folks. Can we bring our children? We know finding childcare can be hard (and expensive!) so you’re welcome to bring your kids. Feminism can never start too young.
Ride, walk, or cycle to the 2017 Green Gala, a unique fundraiser advancing the work of Friends of Grand Rapids Parks. This event helps to further our mission to protect, enhance, and expand our city’s parks, public spaces, and urban forest. This year the venue is moving to Sixth Street Park where guests will be entertained with street musicians and a full-scale park experience while enjoying the scenic backdrop of the City of Grand Rapids and the Grand River.
The Spoke Folks and Switchback Gear Exchange are partnering to bring you an incredible opportunity to spend 3 summer days on a fully supported group camping ride. If you’ve never done a multi-day ride before, this is a great place to start.
The ride begins at the Spoke Folks’ shop and follows the Musketawa Trail to the first night’s camping near the lakeshore in Muskegon. Day 2 will bring the group inland to Newyago, and Day 3 will lead back to Grand Rapids via the White Pine Trail. All your gear will be carried by support vehicles, and plenty of great meals and snacks will be provided throughout.
Cost: $300. All proceeds will support The Spoke Folks!
